Tuesday afternoon, detectives from the San Luis Police Department in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, conducted a joint investigation, which led to the recovery of a large amount of stolen electronics with an estimated value amount of over $500,000.
The stolen items consisted of new Bose wireless sound equipment and other electronic devices to be determined during this on-going investigation. SLPD detectives arrested Sergio Rafael Barroso from San Luis, Mexico, as the main suspect in this case.
Sergio was booked into the Yuma County Adult Detention Center on a variety of felony charges related to trafficking stolen property, possession of stolen property and fraudulent schemes. Sergio was arraigned today at the San Luis Justice of the Peace Court #2 and was given a cash-only bond of $800,000.
