The San Luis Police Department located 6 pounds of methamphetamine over the weekend after an officer noticed a suspicious vehicle.
The officer who was on routine patrol noticed a white Ford sedan that had been parked for several days at a parking lot on the 700 Block of Urtuzuastegui Street. The officer requested the presence of a narcotics detection canine which arrived on scene and assisted with the investigation.
The vehicle was found to have 6 pounds of methamphetamine hidden inside the vehicle’s engine compartment area.
The vehicle and the drugs were seized by the police department and the case is currently under investigation.
The estimated street value of the methamphetamine is valued at $24,000 dollars.
