On August 26, 2016, Detectives from the San Luis Police Department assisted investigators from the San Bernardino County, District Attorney Office, with a child abduction investigation.
The investigation conducted by the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office led them to the San Luis area.
The investigation involved two boys ages 6 and 10 and one 8 year-old female. The children had been abducted by their paternal mother who did not have court custody of them. Collaborative efforts initiated by Detectives of SLPD along with San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora Municipal Police Department found that the children who were residing in San Luis Rio Colorado, Sonora Mexico.
The children were located safely and all three children were turned over to investigators of the San Bernardino County, District Attorney Office.
The investigation came to a successful and happy closure after the abducted children were once again reunited with their father in California.
