The San Luis Police Department is currently investigating two armed robberies that have occurred this week.
SLPD Officers responded on Monday morning around 1:20 AM to Panchita’s Restaurant which is located on the 600 Block of Second Avenue regarding a male subject who had demanded money and had brandished a handgun at an employee. The suspect left without money being handed to him but damaged some property as he left the restaurant.
The suspect was describe as being 5 feet 10 inches tall with a thin build. The suspect was wearing a black ski mask and gloves.
The second incident occurred on Wednesday morning around 1:50 AM at Second Avenue and E Street. The victim in this case was inside his vehicle when the suspect approached the victim and assaulted him with pepper spray. The suspect pointed a handgun at the victim and demanded his wallet. The victim suffered minor injuries and the suspect fled the scene in a black SUV.
The suspect in this case was described as 5 feet 10 inches or 6 feet tall. In this case the suspect was wearing a ski mask and gloves.
