San Luis PD Arrests Burglary Suspect

The San Luis Police Department arrested a male subject that was wanted in connection to a commercial burglary on Wednesday afternoon.

The suspect was identified as 52 year old Armando Esparza.

SLPD Officers first responded to a report of a commercial theft that occurred June 27th at the City Fleet Services Building. The items taken were numerous power tools, wrenches and other pieces of equipment.

SLPD Officers were able to locate the suspect based on video surveillance footage that recorded the suspect taking the items.

The suspect was located at the 600 block of Main Street and taken into custody.

Armando was arrested and booked into the Yuma County Detention Center for Burglary 3rd Degree, Criminal Damage to Property, Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree.
