“Kidnapping Attempt”

On March 22, 2018 at 5:39 p.m., officers from the San Luis Police Department responded to an attempted kidnapping call that occurred by Main Street and Los Oros Street.

San Luis Police officers met with a 14 year old female, who reported that she was able to physically pull away from a male subject that attempted to pull her inside his car. The female victim describe the suspect as being of a medium built between 5’11” to 6’0” with a Spanish speaking adult deep voice, wearing all black clothes with a black ski mask. The suspect’s vehicle was described as a dark Honda possibly an Accord or Civic with no registration plate. The San Luis Police Department is investigating this incident and following all investigative leads.

The San Luis Police Department is asking the public remain vigilant of their surroundings and to always carry a fully charged cell phone, and to let someone know whenever going for a walk alone as safety precautions.

If anyone in the public has any information regarding this incident that could lead to the identification and apprehension of possible suspect(s), please notify the San Luis Police Department or your local police department.
