On Monday, the San Luis Police Department received the final evidence department assessment report from LD Consulting, LLC. The process of accountability began at the request of Chief Richard Jessup having an independent audit of the San Luis Police Department in which the evidence department was part of, and this portion of the audit was completed on January 3, 2020. A thorough review of every item in evidence was completed and accounted for, as well as recommended upgrades, which received approval from City Administration and City Council. The San Luis Police Department’s evidence room has received a complete clean bill of health in meeting a total of 44 recommendations.
