The San Luis Police Department responded earlier today to a report of an assault that had taken place at the 900 Block of Kennedy Lane.
When officers arrived to the residence, they were able to gain entry into the residence from which the victim was calling from. Once inside SLPD Officers found the victim inside the residence and determined that the victim had been assaulted by unknown suspects. Based on the initial investigation it appears that the homeowner was attacked and several items were taken from inside the residence. The victim was transported to Yuma Regional Medical Center by the San Luis Fire Department with non-life threatening injuries.
