The San Luis Police Department will be conducting traffic enforcement in the area of Juan Sanchez Boulevard from 8th Avenue up to 10th Avenue.
This traffic enforcement operation comes as a result of construction that is taking place in the area and due to drivers not paying attention to posted traffic control changes.
Officers will be focusing on drivers who are not paying attention to the posted no left hand turns signs, posted speed limits signs and other violations that are being observed in this area.
Drivers are asked to take alternative routes to their home, school or work due to the traffic build that occurs both in the morning and afternoons. Drivers are also asked to be aware of their surrounding and to pay attention when driving in construction zone areas due to workers in the area.
