San Luis High School Lockdown

On December 1, 2017 at approximately 8:19 a.m., officers from the San Luis Police Department responded to the San Luis High School regarding a social media post in reference to a possible weapon located within the school premises.

 

San Luis Police officers checked the areas within the school based on the information at hand for any potential threats besides establishing a perimeter in the high school property.

 

At approximately 9:30 a.m. the lock-down was lifted after the search concluded, which turned out to be a false alarm.   

 

At this point, the San Luis Police Department is conducting a criminal investigation in reference to the incident.

 

The San Luis Police Department is asking for assistance from the public with any information regarding this incident that could lead to the identification and apprehension of possible suspects.
